Solomon Page Healthcare and Life Sciences uses a comprehensive, disciplined six step executive search process. Our methodology has been designed to achieve each client's strategic objectives by performing a highly efficient, effective search of the highest quality. The time frame for completion of each project varies due to many factors including position type, scope, complexity, location and client/candidate availability. We typically deliver full slates of candidates within a three to six week time frame and have measurable results substantially sooner. Generally, the Solomon Page consultant engaged to conduct the search manages all phases of the project and handles the majority of the recruiting personally.


1. Organizational and Position Review

Initial client meetings allow us to gather detailed information on the company or institution, meet stakeholders and develop a comprehensive search plan and position description including candidate specifications.


2. Research and Recruiting

Using our extensive, proprietary database as a starting point, we develop a target list of potential candidates and referral sources. Our research and recruiting staff continue to expand the list and begin our aggressive recruiting process to ascertain interest from the developing network. We work to quickly find potential candidates who will be evaluated by the project team.


3. Candidate Selection

Out of the initial large slate of diverse, potential candidates we identify the individuals that appear to most closely match the position description and fit the requirements that are outlined by the client. We evaluate this group very carefully qualifying them for experience, education, cultural fit and technical skills. After face to face meetings, we narrow the group and submit resumes or CV's to the client along with detailed narratives on each person.


4. Client Interview Stage

Based on feedback from the client, we arrange for the visits of the selected candidates to the client site in conjunction with appropriate client leadership. Each client has a distinct internal interview process and we work closely with each candidate to prepare for the experience and follow-up with the results of those meetings, process candidate feedback and manage additional steps. We thoroughly check the references, credentials and employment histories of each of the finalists and employ external resources for more detailed criminal and credit checks as required.


5. Offer and On-Boarding

We assist in the final selection process and help to formulate, present and negotiate the terms of the offer to the chosen candidate. During this very sensitive stage of the process, we work closely with both client and candidate to achieve a final positive result. After the candidate has accepted, we continue to work with the person throughout their resignation, transition and the start of their tenure in the new position.


6. Follow-Up

After the new executive begins work we continue to monitor their progress and follow-up with both them and the client to make sure that their transition continues to be as smooth as possible and that expectations are being met by all. We also encourage a final meeting with the client to close the loop and examine the entire search process in detail to get honest feedback on client satisfaction and any ideas for process improvement.
